16 Returnees For Cyclones OPL1 Debut

(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Cyclones are excited to announce several returning players ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League1 season. With 16 players from last year’s roster featuring this season, the Cyclones return a core of players that helped the club gain promotion, including three strikers, four defenders, eight midfielders, and the returning League1 Championship Goalkeeper of the Year, Connor Vande Weghe. Sudbury Cyclones Announce Soccer Operations Staff

(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Cyclones have announced what their soccer operations staff will look like approaching the 2026 season. General Manager of the Sudbury Cyclones is now L1 Premier assistant coach Evan Phillips. Evan has been with the Cyclones since the new inception of the franchise and brings experience and expertise to the role. Jessica Grenier returns to the Cyclones, now as Team Manager. The L1 Premier Cyclones will have the Championship Coach of the Year Giuseppe Politi returning as head coach for his third season. Evan Phillips and Nicholas Walker return as assistant coaches, with Chris Belanger returning as goalkeeper coach. The L2 Women’s Cyclones see the return of Ross Moynihan as head coach, with assistant coach Cole Giffin returning along with goalkeeper coach Chris Belanger. The L2 Men’s Cyclones will have Brian Ashton as head coach this season, along with Chris Belanger as goalkeeper coach. The Sudbury Cyclones are excited to have this plethora of coaching talent in the organization, and can’t wait to get the 2026 season started. Capelli Sport to Become the Official Apparel and Equipment Supplier of the Sudbury Cyclones

(Greater Sudbury, ON) – Capelli Sport and the Sudbury Cyclones are proud to announce a new multi-year partnership beginning in December 2025. This agreement will make Capelli Sport the official and exclusive uniform, apparel, and equipment provider for the Sudbury, Ontario-based soccer club. The partnership will run through December 2029 and includes full kits for the Cyclones’ Men’s League1 Premier, Men’s League2 and Women’s League2 teams, academy programs, coaching and staff apparel, and branded gear supporting the club’s community initiatives.
