(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Cyclones’ men, coming off a 2-1 win at home against Windsor City FC, return to Cambrian College this Saturday, June 21st at 7:00 p.m. to face Waterloo United.
The Cyclones men helped strengthen their hold on first in the Championship table this past Saturday against Windsor City FC, as the Cyclones jumped to an early lead and never looked back. A low cross in the first minute was deflected in by a Windsor defender, and a scrappy finish from Musa Joof in the sixth minute had the Cyclones up 2-0 just six minutes into the match. While Windsor clawed one back before the end of the half, the Cyclones had excellent game management in the second half to see out the 2-1 win.
The Cyclones men will enter Saturday’s contest with a 6-1-3 record, and could find themselves as much as five points clear at the top of the Championship with a win. Waterloo United owns a 4-4-2 record, while also owning the only loss on the Cyclones record over this campaign. The Cyclones will look to use this reverse fixture as redemption.
