(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Cyclones’ women keep on racking up the wins, with a 1-0 clean sheet against Master’s FA this past Saturday solidifying their third straight. They’ll look to make it four straight this Saturday, July 19th at 4:00 p.m. on the Cambrian College field, against North Mississauga SC L2 women.
The Cyclones women got an early goal from Kiara Levac in the 17th minute this past Saturday and never looked back, earning a 1-0 win against the other new entry into the League2 Ontario Women’s Northeast, Master’s FA. With the winning streak, the Cyclones now sit seventh in the table with a 6-6-0 record. Saturday’s upcoming match will be the last match in Sudbury for the Cyclones women, with the campaign winding down to just two matches left, the final being in Vaughan on July 26th. The Cyclones will welcome a North Mississauga side to Sudbury on Saturday, who enter with a 2-10-0 record.
The Cyclones men earned a 2-0 win against a tough York United Academy side on Wednesday, and despite dropping points in a loss to Windsor City FC on Sunday, still sit first in the League1 Championship table. With seven matches left, the Cyclones hold a three-point lead at the top of the table with a 9-2-4 record. They will travel to Centennial College on Sunday, July 20th for an 8:00 p.m. match against third place Unionville Milliken SC.
The Cyclones L2 men, similar to the women, have two matches remaining on their campaign. This Sunday, July 20th at 7:00 p.m., they’ll be on the road to face Unionville Milliken SC L2, and will return home for the final match of the regular season at home on Saturday, July 26th at 3:30 p.m. for a reverse fixture with Unionville Milliken SC L2.
