Academy & Camps

The Cyclones Academy aims to deliver elite on-field training, focusing on developing technical skills, tactical skills and positional skills.
This training is intended to be supplementary and complementary to club activities and aims to produce players from Northeastern Ontario that can eventually play for the Cyclones First Teams under the Sudbury Cyclones Soccer Club.

Cyclones Spring Academy *NEW* – REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

Sudbury Cyclones Academies are led by Sudbury’s own former Canadian professional soccer player, Brian Ashton. Brian began his professional soccer career with the London Lasers in 1992. He later played with the Toronto Lynx of the USL A-League, making his debut in 1998. Most recently, he was the coach of the Laurentian University Women’s soccer team.

What else can we expect from the Sudbury Cyclones Academy?
In addition to on-field training (individual skill development, technical training, and tactical development) from qualified coaches, the Sudbury Cyclones Academy will include:
● Focused sessions on strength and conditioning, goal setting, nutrition, sport psychology, and
recovery from soccer and athletic specialists.
● Exposure to showcase tournaments at the end of each instalment.
● Exposure to the Sudbury Cyclone’s Men’s First Team
