(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The long-standing tradition of fan participation through 50/50 raffles at SWSE sporting events now includes an online 50/50 community-wide raffle through Play it Forward, www.playitforward5050.com.

SWSE Play it Forward is a not-for-profit incorporated in the Province of Ontario. Proceeds from the raffle will be raised on behalf of local charitable organizations, that promote public health through physical fitness and mental health programming. The intent is to alleviate poverty by increasing access for underprivileged youth, families, and cultures.

“It was very important for our organization to give back to the community in many different ways, especially as our organization continues to expand,” said SWSE Owner and CEO, Dario Zulich. “This initiative will have a special focus on growing grassroots sports and recreation here in the City of Greater Sudbury and surrounding communities, while also supporting other local charitable initiatives.”

The Play it Forward 50/50 Lottery Program will allow fans to have more opportunities to purchase tickets. Ticket sales will be tracked electronically with draw values updated in real-time. Modernizing 50/50 raffle draws help charities and local non-profits raise more funds, and increases prizes for customers, while also enhancing the security, accuracy, and accountability of raffles.
