(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury Cyclones’ men return to James Jerome Field this Saturday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. for a League1 Championship match against Guelph United.
The Cyclones enter Saturday’s fixture with a perfect 2-0 record in League1 Championship play, having secured back-to-back 1-0 victories. Their most recent win came during last Saturday’s home opener. The game featured dynamic attacking play early on, with Jaiden Santo capitalizing on a loose ball after a deflected cross from Brandon Moxam to score in the 32nd minute. The team then relied on an outstanding defensive performance, including critical goal- line clearances and key saves from goalkeeper Connor Vande Weghe. A spirited home crowd propelled the team to maintain their clean sheet, capping off a successful doubleheader in which the Cyclones women also claimed a 1-0 win.
