(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) – In what was expected to be a busy week for the Sudbury Cyclones Men’s OPL1 team, Mother Nature had other plans. Both Wednesday’s home match against Vaughan SC and Saturday’s road fixture against Burlington SC were postponed due to poor air quality caused by the ongoing wildfires across Northern Ontario.
Makeup dates for both matches are expected to be announced in the coming week as the OPL season enters its final stretch.
With last week’s postponements behind them, the Cyclones are set to return to action with a pair of road matches this week. Sudbury will first travel to face the Simcoe County Rovers on Wednesday, July 22, with kickoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m.
The road trip wraps up on Sunday, July 26, when the Cyclones take on Sigma FC. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. as Sudbury looks to pick up valuable points heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
