(GREATER SUDBURY, ON) – After securing their first win of the season on home turf against the Simcoe County Rovers, the Cyclones now hit the road as they travel south to take on St. Catharines Club Roma on Saturday, May 23, with kickoff set for 8:00 p.m.
Following a challenging start to the 2026 campaign, the Cyclones finally found their rhythm in front of home supporters. In a matchup between two sides still searching for their first win, the Cyclones hosted the Simcoe County Rovers in a tightly contested battle. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the Cyclones came out flying in the second half, with Jaiden Santo leading the charge. Santo struck twice in quick succession, finding the back of the net in the 52nd and 56th minutes to flip the game on its head. From there, the Cyclones managed the lead effectively, closing out a 2-1 victory to earn their first win of the season.
With their first win now secured, the Cyclones will look to put their slow start firmly in the rearview mirror and build momentum as they head into a road matchup against St. Catharines, who, like the Cyclones, sit on three points this season.
